VersaSTUDIO BN2 Series Launch

We recently celebrated the launch of the VersaSTUDIO BN2 range of compact, easy-to-use, affordable desktop printers designed for small office/home office professionals. They incorporate further advances in productivity and usability on the original VersaSTUDIO BN series, with the same high-definition print heads, eco-solvent inks and cutting technology as our wide-format printers.

Key features of the BN2 series include:

• Faster print speeds – approx. 4 times faster in standard mode than existing BN models

• Improved precision – even during bi-directional printing

• Improved cutting quality and speed – with the adoption of a new solenoid drive, plus a ‘Sheet Cut Function’ to neatly and automatically cut straight without manual assistance

• Simple installation & excellent usability

• Included Roland DG software – allowing control over production and a simple design and output app enabling immediate output

• Comprehensive manufacturer’s warranty

Another great development to come from the BN2 series launch is a dedicated brand page on our website featuring the complete range of desktop devices in the expanded VersaSTUDIO range. BLI 2024 Pick Awards

On October 4 our TrueVIS AP-640 resin and LG-640 UV printer models earned BLI (Buyers Lab) 2024 Pick Awards while receiving high marks in evaluation tests conducted by internationally recognised data and market intelligence leader, Keypoint Intelligence. The AP-640 (CMYK) was honoured in the Outstanding Entry-Level CMYK Eco-Solvent/Latex 54”/64” Printer category while the LG-640 (CMYKReOrWhWh) was awarded in the Outstanding UV 54”/64” Printer category.

Highlights from the Keypoint Intelligence lab testing revealed our TrueVIS AP-640 resin printer demonstrated the largest colour gamut measured of any latex/resin printers tested to date, accurate reproduction of Pantone brand colours, as well as very stable reproduction with minimal colour and dimensional differences over a 30m wallpaper printing test. These are all significant hallmarks that position the AP-640 above other options when choosing a new large-format printer.

Our LG-640 UV printer was evaluated for two ink configurations, Dual-CMYK and CMYKReOrWhWh. The Dual-CMYK model was confirmed as offering the highest levels of productivity, while also providing high quality output with impressive colour gamut and colour accuracy. While the CMYKReOrWhWh model was acknowledged for the highest levels of flexibility to provide high-quality output results in the most appropriate print mode, whether the job requires strict print quality or high productivity. Extremely pleasing performances for both.

These results provide a solid reference if you’re looking for the best models in their categories, and offer peace of mind that the TrueVIS series will meet your high expectations if you’re buying a new device.

Orange & Green TR2 Inks approved for the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty program

On October 12, we announced that the TR2 Orange and Green inks used in the TrueVIS VG3/VG2/VF2 wide-format eco-solvent printer models are now compliant with the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty program. This is in addition to the previously announced CMYKLcLmLk colours.

This is an important development for anyone using TR2 inks because the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty provides full, non-prorated protection for the intended life of each graphic, including fading, cracking, peeling and other aspects of graphic performance which assures you that the quality of your images will be maintained for the life of your graphic.
